(Bellows) / On the familiar sofa, Emma Bellows and Elsie Speicher are more relaxed and animated than they are in the other similar compositions--the two versions of "Elsie, Emma and Marjorie" (M. 103, 104). Eugene Speicher seems resigned, if not exactly happy, at having been recruited to model for his friend. (Mason)
