Emergency Polio Ward- A general view yesterday in a corner of the emergency polio ward at Haynes Memorial Hospital. Teams of doctors and nurses are giving emergency treatment to critical bulbar cases. There are 21 iron lungs in this room supplied by the National Foundation for Infantile Paralyses, which has brought 61 of the respirators into the city. The critical patients are lined up close together so hard-pressed medical teams can give them fast emergency treatment.
