Navy CWO Francis L. Beardsley (pointing to blackboard), who heads family of 22, and several of his children pick Helen Monica as name for latest arrival, born 4/19 at nearby Fort Ord hospital to wife Helen. Beardsleys' 1961 wedding united the widower's 10 children and the ex-Navy widow's 8 offspring. First child born to them is Joseph, 1 1/2 years, held on father's lap.
