Elkhart, Ind. – Twin Death Clouds Approaching – Two separate funnel clouds reaching down to earth, spread devastation along highway U.S. 33 about one quarter mile east of Elkhart, In., yesterday. The New York Central Railroad tracks are at right. The picture was made by Elkhart Truth photographer Bill Borneman, shortly before they struck Dunlap, killing at least 22 persons.
