A general view of the new meteorological observatory at the research station of Massachusetts Institute of Technology on the estate of Colonel E.H.R. Green at Round Hill, Mass. The building has a laboratory for making scientific studies of weather, particularly the physical characteristics of fog, and a room where the records of the various instruments are interpreted for daily weather maps and forecasts. Beyond the observatory lies the great Round Hill Airport, one of the finest in the country.
