23 year-old Elaine Margaret Meers of Flushing, New York, is escorted to a hearing by a Federal Marshal after she was captured in an attempt to hold-up a Philadelphia bank 11/16. The young housewife passed a threatening note to a girl teller, who called a bank guard. Mrs. Meers was unarmed although she claimed in her note to carry a gun in her purse.
