Auburn, Ala.: Authorities issued an alert from Louisiana to New York for Edward Albert Seibold (UR), 21, sought in the murders of Sarah Elizabeth Sinclair (LL), 18, Mary Durant (LC), 8, and Mary Lynn Sinclair(LR), 9. Cathey Sinclair (UC), who had rejected Seibold's offer to go steady this summer, escaped Seibold by hiding in a closet. Faye Sinclair (UL), 15, who had been sleeping with her sister Sarah, also escaped by hiding under the bed when she heard her sister's dying screams, officials said. Mrs. Juanita Sinclair (not shown), mother of the Sinclair girls, was wounded in the arm.
