Times is empty after it was struck today, 9/16 by the American Newspaper Guild. 6 other N.Y. dailies may have to close down because of an agreement by the Publishers Association to do so if the Times was struck. Only the N.Y. Post, not a member of the group, will be unaffected by the pact.
