Edith Heads for the Caribbean-Hurricane Edith, with winds of 100 miles an hour, lashed the southern tip of Puerto Rico with gales today and took aim at Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The storm is headed straight for the Caribbean and has maintained an almost straight course since it was born in the tropical Atlantic and crashed through the Windward and Leeward Islands.
