East Lee, Mass. One of several homes damaged by the flash flood which tore a path of destruction through the Berkshire County community of East Lee, Mass. is seen above. Other homes along Route 20 were lifted from their foundations and carried over the highway after the dam at Mud Pond broke sending more than 20 acres of water on the community. One house belonging to 55-year-old Mrs. Olive Cordonier was split in half by the flood. Rescue workers are still searching for her body, which was believed carried down stream with the torrent. One man, Edward Gage, 60, was killed by the flood.
