Earthquake Slide Blocks Main Highway--Bulldozers work to clear a mountainslide from U.S. 99, a main Los Angeles-to-San Francisco highway, after today's strong earthquake caused the slide. The work was being hurried at top speed on the chance that one or more cars might be buried under the tons of dirt.
