Earthquake Shakes Southern California -- A Short Sharp Earthquake Jolted Southern California at 1.:10 A.M., Oct. 2, But Apparently Did Little Damage. No Fatalities Were Reported, Although Windows Were Broken and Masonry was Shaken From Buildings. The Quake was Felt as Far North as Santa Barbara and Long Beach in the South. Here is the Long Angeles Police Department Building in the Center of the Downtown District, Where the Tremors Were Vividly Felt. A Woman was Injured Here by Falling Bricks.
