On the left Is a road, bounded on the farther side by a high wall overhung with trees, on the near side by a low wall, beneath which is a field divided by a bank from the river. At the end of the field is a cottage fenced In with railings; between the cottage and the road are bushes. A woman walks along the road. In the distance, on the crest of a wooded hill, rises the town from which the print derives its name. The outline of the woman's shawl on the left has been completed. The upper outline of the bank between the field and the water has been retouched; a little hillock, 40 mm from the right end of the plate, has a double outline, forming a loop.
