A quay bordered by an irregular row of houses, one of which, though partly ruinous, is of some architectural pretension ; the adjoining white house is entitled Provan's Lodgings. In the foreground, water with a boat. Touched with dry point. The houses at either end and figures along the quay more defined ; more smoke from the chimneys, and additional shading on sky and water.
