M., in recognition of his retirement after 38 years of service with the Veterans Administration. Among the guests attending will be Rep. Edith Nourse Rogers: and Dr. Francis B. Carroll, area medical director of the V. A. Dr. Adams was medical director of the Veterans Administration when he voluntarily transferred to this hospital in 1980, so that he might do contact work with the mentally ill. Since then the hospital has expanded from 354 beds to 1800.
