Pikeville, Ky...Dr. Richard W. Stevens, 36, of Bartlett W. Va., shown in Pikeville following his arrest in connection with the murder of his wife, Ruth, 38. Stevens, taken into custody in Pikeville when carpenters became suspicious of the ease with which their new helper's hands blistered, is charged with having shot his wife twelve times with two pistols last monday when she threatened to leave him. Authorities said the physician has admitted the slaying.
