Crackdown on baby smuggling ring

Canadian and New York authorities have cracked down on an international baby-selling ring with the arrest yesterday of a wealthy Montreal lawyer and the arrest of three more suspects today. Under arrest on charges of master-minding the baby black market is Herman Buller (center, left photo) who is shown as he was picked up yesterday at the Montreal Airport by detectives Jules Arsenault, left, and Edgar Belair. Buller was seized as he was about to board a plane for Europe with his family. Most of the babies allegedly were sold to New York couples for fees ranging from $3,000 to $10,000.
