A demonstrator of the National Welfare Rights Organization attacks a District of Columbia Police Officer during a clash at the District Welfare Department 7/2. The group, which has been demanding money from the Welfare Dept. for furniture for all local recipients, was attempting to enter the building when the clash erupted. Fourteen of about 250 protesters were arrested.
