Demonstration of modern method of rooting out accumulations of soil and overgrowth of vegetation, given on the farm of James De Normandle in Lincoln yesterday by the extension service, Massachusetts State College. Prof. W. C. Harrington was the engineer in charge. Sticks of dynamite were placed in a row of holes, about 18 inches apart down the centre of the ditch, and exploded by detonating cap.
