The walls are already half demolished, a crane projects above them towards the left; towards the right a ladder stands against the inner wall of an upper storey, a man at the top of it. A horse and cart are prominent in the foreground, where several men are at work beneath the walls. In the distance on the extreme left we see a giant church tower with houses near it.
