Delivers own baby while watching movie

Long Beach, Calif. -- Mrs. Virginia Smith, 38, proudly holds Daniel David, the 8-pound son she delivered by herself while watching an old movie on television early Sunday. "It was a good movie and I didn't want to turn it off," Mrs. Smith said. She awoke her husband after the baby was born. They didn't go to the hospital or call a doctor but Mrs. Smith said both she and the baby -- her fifth child -- were doing fine.
