Country mews

A street with stables on either side and a lofty spire at the end of the vista. On the left two men and a little girl stand near a carriage. A tree rises immediately over the roof of a stable with an open door, from which the head of a horse, with bridle and halter, projects. Within the space allotted to the composition itself is marked by ruled lines. The foliage of the tree passes beyond the lines.
