Wallace Cromwell Bearden (above), 51-year-old roofer, sits dejectedly in Bedford Park sheriff's station last night after a murder charge, in connection with the death of Mrs. Catherine Wasil, was filed against Bearden by Albert H. Johnson, chief of the Cook County sheriff's police, who said he would ask the State's Attorney to present the case to the county grand jury tomorrow. The body of Mrs. Wasil, mutilated and nearly nude, was found Oct. 15 stuffed into the trunk of her auto.
