The vertical triangle formed by the fighters and referee is reinforced by the placement of the winner next to the post. The artist positioned the fight fan on the right, facing away from the ring, to serve as part of the center design. The density of the snarling crowd indicated in the background shows less movement and is not as distracting as it is in "The Last Count (M. 93). (Mason)
