Defector. Pvt. Larry A. Abshier, 18, of Cleveland, was identified by the U.S. Army in Seoul, Korea, as the American soldier reported by Pyongyang radio to have taken refuge in Communist North Korean. The Army said Abshier apparently was the first American defector to the Reds in Korea since the end of the Korean War.
