Death on the doorstep

The body of Mrs. Beatrice M. Clanton lies across the doorstep of her home, where she fell after a blast from a shotgun riddled her body. At right, the victim's husband, Lloyd W. Clanton, sits bewildered in a police car after his arrest in connection with the shooting. Clanton told authorities- "She'd been bossing the house too much." Asked if he were sorry, Clanton replied- "Yes. I guess I'm a sick man."
