Dora Bears Down on Florida--Hurricane Dora's calm eye was located about 190 miles east of Cape Kennedy late tonight and was pushing toward a point just north of the Cape at 12 miles per hour. Destructive winds of hurricane force extend out 150 miles to the north and 85 miles to the south of Dora's center. Highest winds near center are estimated at 125 miles per hour. Hurricane warnings are displayed all along the east coast of Florida and for the Tampa Bay area, 140 miles across the state on the west coast.
