A repetition, with variations, of Dodgson number 277. A bridge with a wooden parapet spans the almost dry bed of a river. At the left end of the bridge are tall poplars, two of which are isolated; at the right end are smaller trees. The town of Fermo, very lightly sketched, crowns the summit of a distant hill beyond the bridge. In outline; light and unfinished. The piers support the bridge are white, except the farthest to the right, on which there is some vertical shading.
