Cyril Von Baumann, writer and explorer, is shown March 22 as he gave a new type diving suit a successful tryout at Toms River, N.J. The cylinder Von Baumann holds supplies the diver with a mixture of helium and oxygen and eliminates necessity of the usual air line. The suit will withstand pressure of 1200 pounds per square inch and is expected to make possible dives to a depth of 2000 feet for periods as long as 12 hours.
