Curt Simmons Says Temporary Goodbye to baseball as he hangs up his Philadelphia Phillies uniform and prepares to return to his National Guard unit which has been called to active duty. Simmons, who was flown from the Guard encampment at Indiantown Gap, Pa., was knocked out of the box in the fourth inning of the second game of last night's doubleheader with the Reds at Philadelphia.
