Dies in plunge

Mrs. Burton Pierce, 33, above, the former Jane Bunche, daughter of United Nations Undersecretary and Nobel Prize winner Ralph Bunche, was found early today lying in the courtyard of her apartment building in the Bronx borough of New York. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Jewish Memorial Hospital. Police said she either fell or jumped to her death, adding that no notes were found. The Pierces have three children.
