Confident of Owerri Defeat - Federal Nigerian troops were reported today to have penetrated the heavily defended Biafran town Owerri. Col. Benjamin Adekunle, commander of the Federal third division, shown above in a recent picture, said during a hospital tour Friday that he would "drink tea in Owerri Sunday." Owerri and the Biafran headquarters of Umuahia are the only major towns still left to the Biafrans.
