Confesses killing daughter

Mrs. Shirley Mae Bonner, 30, of Denver sobs at Denver jail this morning after confessing that she smothered her 19-month-old daughter with two leather coats. The malformed child had a double hare lip, cleft palate, water on the brain and a heart defect since birth. Mrs. Bonner said she smothered the child because she couldn't stand to see it suffer any longer.
