San Francisco police reported Wednesday that they were close to making an arrest in the brutal murder of a beautiful young nurse -- a former Ipswich girl -- who was found stabbed and choked to death in her apartment there. Inspector Kenneth Manley of the San Francisco police said his investigators had a good lead as to the slayer of Diana Sylvester, 22, a nurse at the kidney transplant department of the University of California Medical Center.
