Detroit – Auto Workers Strike General Motors – United Auto Workers Union members walk out the General Motors Fleetwood body plant in Detroit today and circle the plant with a picket line. The UAW began striking General Motors plants across the nation and announced a stalemate had developed in negotiations with GM on non-economic national level issues.
