Ed Gein, 61, left, formerly of Plainfield, Wis., is led to Waushara County court house by Sheriff Virgil Batterman for hearing today in Wautoma. Gein is charged with the 10-year-old slaying of a Plainfield woman. He has spent the last 10 years at Waupun, Wis., State Hospital.
