Comeback King--Willie Shoemaker, who has overcome crippling injuries twice in recent years to remain a top jockey, was honored as "Big Sport of Turfdom" Tuesday by the Turf Publicists of America. TPA President J.B. Faulconer made the presentation during an association gathering here. The TPA is meeting in conjunction with the Thoroughbred Racing Association convention.
