Cold Wave Chokes Hudson River With Ice. A cold wave which sent the mercury tumbling down to 19 degrees Jan. 13, caused the Hudson river to choke up with ice near Kingston, N. Y. This photo shows a sturdy little tug pushing a way through the floating fields of ice, while the photographer rides high overhead in a plane.
