Claims to be a slayer

Daniel Sedillos, 34, is shown in a Chicago jail after his arrest for a disturbance in a tavern today. Chicago detective Wesley Broderson said Sedillos signed a statement saying he used his necktie to strangle Emelie Hernandes, about 16, near Chatsworth, Calif., in February, 1956. He said he had promised to marry the girl, but killed her at the request of another girlfriend, who gave him $500. He said he buried the girl's body near Northridge, Calif. Los Angeles County sheriff's office said Miss Hernandes was reported missing by her parents on Jan. 29, 1956.
