A City of Rubble -- An unidentified Alaskan surveys all that is left of Fourth Avenue in downtown Anchorage, where demolition crews are piling rubble of the once thriving business district that was demolished in the terrible March 27 earthquake. Flat building in background is the Denali theater that sank up to its marquee as the earth gave way beneath it. The taller apartment building farther back also is condemned. Future of the area is uncertain. It may be converted into a park and the city's business district rebuilt nearby.
