One of the biggest man hunts in British criminal history ended 11/16 with a 39-year-old engineer charged in the 1967 death of seven-year-old Christine Darby (shown in a file photo). Raymond Leslie Morris made a two-minute court appearance handcuffed by each wrist to a detective. The girl was abducted by a man in a grey car on 8/1967 while playing with friends near her home. She was found strangled and raped four days later on a thickly wooded hill. The body was discovered only three miles from the spot where two other little girls, aged five and six, were found slain 20 months earlier.
