Church Welcomes Poor and Homeless During Big Blizzard That Isolated New York. Rev. Gamble,-Lieder Tannenbaum of the "I.W.W." and Mrs. Horton an agitator in that organization in ancient St. Marks Church at 2nd Ave and 10th Street, New York City where years ago, Peter Stuyvesant worshipped. The doors of the church were thrown open to the band of homeless men and women who sought shelter there.
