Caught in custody battle

Gerri Lynn Ernst, age five, is under guard in a Petoskey hospital, caught in a bitter 3-year-old custody battle being waged by her father and maternal grandparents. Last night the child was transferred from another hospital under court order. The grandparents placed Gerri Lynn under doctors care last week after Circuit Judge Charles L. Brown ordered them to turn her over to her father.
