Cast in Manhattan's East Side murder

Howard Jacobson, left, once considered one of the most successful horse trainers in the nation, is charged with the murder of restaurant owner Jack Tupper, right. At the eye of the storm, police said, was lovely 19-year-old covergirl Melanie Cain, who had lived with Jacobson and left him for Tupper just three weeks before the murder.
