A Cherokee woman

In ancient costume works alongside a clear flowing stream at the ancient (1650-1700 AD) Cherokee Village at Tsa-La-Gi. Background structures are living houses and an osi, or winter sleep or "hot" house. The village in an authentic recreated village of pre-white man era. They were surrounded by stockade fences of pointed logs for defense against enemies. 4 miles S. and 1 mile E. of Tahlequah, Okla.
