Carry Cut Down at Home Plate--Rico Carty of the Milwaukee Braves is tagged out at home plate by Clay Dalrymple of the Phillies in the third inning tonight at Philadelphia attempting to score from third base when Henry Aaron hit the ball to shortstop Bobby Wine. Wine threw to Dalrymple who dropped the ball after the tag and Umpire Tony Venzon called Carty safe. An argument followed with Venzon calling on first base Umpire Doug Harvey for his decision. Harvey ruled that the ball was dropped after the tag and that Carty was out, so Venzon reversed his original decision. Ball can be seen falling from catcher's fingers.
