Career of "marrying farmhand" ends

The marrying career of Justus L. Barker, gangling 36-year-old New Jersey farmhand, came to an end when he was locked in the Bergen County jail at Hackensack today on a formal charge of bigamy. Barker, shown at police headquarters, told police he had accumulated four wives in 13 years, plus five children, without any divorces. And what's more he managed to keep them all happy. His career was halted when his fourth wife, the former Margaret Ersham, 22, a bride of only eight weeks reported him missing from their boarding house room at 62 Park Avenue, Dumont, N.J.
