Cardinal Pitching Quartet--These St. Louis hurlers have given Manager Eddie Stanky's Redbirds a shot in the arm during a late season bid for the pennant. From left in the dugout before today's game with New York are: Harvey Haddix (1-0), Eddie Yuhas (8-2), Stu Miller (3-0), and Vinegar bend Mizell (8-5). Haddix won his debut after returning from the Army. Yuhas is a strong arm in the bullpen. Miller has given up one earned run in 27 innings, and Mizell has won seven in a row.
