Captain Paula J. Edmonds, chief, Military Personnel Actions, Directorate of Personnel and Administration, U.S. Army Japan, is presented the Adjutant General Corps shield by Major Donald A. Ryan, chief, Military Personnel Division, Directorate of Personnel and Administration, U.S. Army Japan. Captain Edmonds is the first WAC officer to receive a branch detail in Japan. The Adjutant General detail, which must be approved by the Department of the Army, is effective until Captain Edmonds returns to the United States for duty. Capt. Edmonds is a native of Boston.
