Millionaire Charles w. hinman(l) was arrested here 1/18 on charges of attempting to hire assassins to kill his divorced wife, marcia hinman, 27(c), and Murray Chotiner(r), attorney and powerful California republican political figure. Hinman, 57, was specifically charged with five counts of soliciting the commission of a crime--murder. according to four of the counts, the intended target was Chotiner, who managed Richard Nixon's 1952 campaign for the vice presidency. the fifth count alleged that hinman tried to hire a man to murder his ex-wife. hinman & his wife are shown in 1965 photos and [...]
